Environment

Not only is heating water expensive, it also accounts for a huge amount of greenhouse gas emissions. Solar water heaters use much less energy and, therefore, produce significantly less greenhouse gasses than conventional geysers. Solahart's most efficient model, the Kf series, produces up to 3.7 tonnes less greenhouse gas emissions per year than an electric storage heater. That's the equivalent of taking a small car off the road every year.

A word from our customers

"I started monitoring my electricity usage in the 1990s. I realised that 30% of my electricity usage could be attributed to my traditional geyser during summer, and up to 50% in winter. This discovery prompted me to invest in a Solahart solar water heater," Tony Murdoch. Read the article here.

"I built my house in 1976. The total cost of my solar water heater amounted to 1.25% of the value of the house. I paid R198.28 for the geyser and R394.93 for the panels. I used to pay 1.6 cents per unit for electricity. If my solar water heater saved me one third of my monthly electricity usage, my initial investment of R593.21 has yielded a return of R52 579.81." Brian Elliot. Read the article here.
