University of NamibiaThe University of Namibia has installed 109 of the 302J Solahart systems in a project to replace an oil boiler that had reached the end of its life cycle. The capital recoupment period is estimated at 2 years, based on existing operating costs for generating hot water.

University of Technology, TshwaneSolahart South Africa installs its first Commercial System – A 6500 system with 84 ‘M’ Collectors. The project was spearheaded by Jim Hickey of Solahart South Africa along with Prof. O. D. Dintchev of the Tshwane University of Technology in Pretoria and their consultant, Albert Sleip.

The commercial system was for the hostel buildings for over 400 students living on the university campus. The system was completely installed by the students themselves, who are studying to become Engineers. Commissioned in November 2004 by Prabhu Reddi, Sales & Technical Manager – Asia, Solahart, the system is estimated to deliver 14,000 litres of hot water per day with an average annual solar contribution of 84%.

Gabarone School Opts for SolahartA Roman Catholic school in Gabarone has installed Solahart hot water heaters for its staff housing complex. A total of 24 x 181J and 1 x 302JK systems were installed in March 2006.
Solahart undertakes similar installations all over the country especially for the local government houses in the rural areas. Solahart has proved to be the preffered brand for private developers in Botswana

Zhu Hai University, Beijing, ChinaBeijing Normal University established its Zhu Hai Campus in early 2000 in a serene location at the foot of the lush hills in Zhu Hai, a very pretty and romantic coastal town in Guangdong Province, only an hour on a high speed catamaran West of Hong Kong.

With the Phoenix Mountain as a backdrop and overlooking the sea, the campus provides both a scenic and tranquil living and learning environment.
The challenge for Solahart was to design a solar hot water system which would provide hot water for four buildings; two were used by the Students and two by the Teachers. The four buildings were designed for a maximum occupancy of 1,160 persons with an estimated hot water consumption of 64,200 litres @ 450 C per day.

The HajjSolar Prince (Solahart in Saudi Arabia) installed 16 solar hot water systems at the Royal Protocol building in Muna – Makkah (Mecca) to provide hot water for the multitudes of guests visiting during the annual religious gatherings of the Hajj and Ramadan.

and more conventional buildings. It is not surprising that Solar Prince’s satisfied client is now planning to install solar hot water heaters in three other buildings in the same area to meet the demands of more guests.

Solahart Commercial a First for BahrainSolahart UAE, in conjunction with our agents in Bahrain, successfully completed the first phase of supplying solar hot water to Alba in Bahrain. Alba is the second largest Aluminium smelter in the world and they have contracted Solahart to provide solar hot water for its employees state of the art amenities building.

The second phase included the upgrade to a total of six 2500L commercial systems. The systems are connected to banks of 20 or 25 M collectors and provide a minimum of 70 per cent solar contribution, to drive the hot water needs for Alba

Italian Hotel InstallationSolahart’s Italian dealer, Accomandita, successfully installed its biggest project for a single customer. This installation is on the beautiful Hotel Costaverde in Palermo, Sicily, in the southern part of Italy.
The project consists of 40 302Kf units connected as a preheater to the gas central heating system for one of the buildings with 310 double rooms. Another building installed 12 of the 303Kf electric boosted units,

providing all the hot water needs for 73 double rooms.
The opening season of the hotel is the popular Italian summer. From April to October guests will be enjoying lots of hot water free from the sun with this most impressive array of Solahart units. |
